How to Lose 15 lbs. Naturally

I started my weight loss journey about three months ago. Back then I weighed over 160 pounds. As I enrolled myself in a nearby health club, I realized the importance of regular cardiovascular exercise and resistance training. But sometimes I get so bored and lazy that I skip some parts of my workout routine. I was disappointed to find out that I lost only 2 lbs. in the first month. This was because I was not following what my trainer has taught me. One time, I suddenly remembered that I have stashed somewhere at home a copy of Billy Blanks Taebo VCD.

Good Times Entertainment

Taebo is a fusion of the words Tae Kwon Do and Boxing. Developed by Taekwondo expert Billy Blanks, it involves motions of martial arts like punches and kicks and aerobic exercises through basic choreography, coupled with high intensity music. Over all, it benefits the body by increasing cardiovascular fitness, strength, muscular endurance and flexibility.

$10 off Billy Blanks TaeBo AMPED Multipack - Plus FREE Bonus DVD. Was $29.95 Now Only $19.95!

So as soon as I found it I started doing Taebo at home to complement my thrice weekly visit to the gym. Then I noticed that I lost weight much faster. What I really, really like about this program is that it is so much fun to do. You will hardly notice that you have finished the half-hour or one-hour session! In just a few weeks I have lost a total of 15 lbs. And I intend to lose more over the next month!

The Firm Total Body TransFIRMation System now only 2 payments of $29.95 (plus S&H). Get visible results in just 10 workouts!

Looking for a good web hosting provider is quite easy. With a few clicks of the mouse you can just choose which to go for. There are providers that charge for as low as $3.33 monthly to as high as $199 or even more. But what I found rather interesting today is this free web hosting offer. I have actually signed up. But I still have to do my page layout to be uploaded in the cpanel. Meantime, why don't you try enjoying the benefits of having your own free web host?

My Blog Readability Test Result

Got this link from Amor

blog readability test

I must say I'm flattered. Though I don't really know how this was measured in the first place. One thing though, should I adjust the readability level (writing style and word usage) of my blog so that it would cater to more readers?

What do you think?

Homemade Shabu Shabu

One of my favorite dishes is the Shabu Shabu. It is a Japanese variant of hot pot. The dish is similar to sukiyaki as it composed of thinly sliced meat and vegetables cooked in a pot of boiling water or dashi (broth) made with kombu (kelp).

It is one truly healthy treat because it is cooked with minimal, almost zero, cooking oil. Though it would taste better if you add a little bit of sesame oil. It is truly a heavy treat because you can choose beef or pork tenderloin, and any seafood combination like shrimp, crab and mussels. It is rich in flavors and texture since you can put everything from the green and leafy cabbage or pechay to the brightly colored carrots, bell peppers and shiitake mushrooms. Noodles and tofu are essential too. There is no need to order rice since its carbo-loaded with corn, slices of taro and pumpkin.

The fun part begins as soon as the big plate of raw ingredients is served. Then you get to choose which food to cook and eat first on the hot pot right on the table. There are different dippings and sauces that can go with it. You get to choose how much seasoning and garnishing too. Make it spicy or extra spicy if you want. Cook and eat with all your heart's desire!

The first time I tasted it was when my boss treated us to a Shabu Shabu restaurant in Serendra last year. Since then I found myself seemingly addicted to it. It even came to a point when I had to literally shove my husband to enter the Healthy Shabu Shabu restaurant in SM Mall of Asia. He was never a huge fan of Japanese dishes, but when he tried it he instantly liked it.

Since Shabu Shabu is quite an expensive order, I decided to try making my homemade version. I used a rice cooker to replace the hotpot. Here's a snapshot of the ingredients that I used:

Unfortunately, I was not able to take a picture of it when it was cooked. We ate everything up! LOL!

Crash Course on Online Marketing

My past few days can be summed up in two words: Information Overload. I've been doing lots of research on webhosting, bloghosting, online marketing and advertising, SEO techniques, affiliate marketing, social bookmarking and of course digital photography. I must admit learning all these new things can be both exciting and exhausting at the same time.

Sometimes I don't even know where to start and when to stop. I just keep on going and going. And it is getting more complicated whenever I encounter big new words, in which case, I will have to look up their meaning and then it will lead me to new topics that are equally interesting.

One thing for sure is that, I want to harness my blog's income potential in the quickest way possible. But so far, the truth is sinking in that there are no shortcuts, unless I am willing to invest hundreds of dollars at this very moment, to getting rich quick online.

As in real life, I have to start from something small, and equip myself well before I get to the finals.

Anyway, let me share with you some sites which have so far been giving me promising income results:

Digital Photography as a Hobby

My work as a graphic artist is fun and financially rewarding. But sometimes, I am at a loss for creative ideas. It helps if I sit back and look at my work from a different point of view. I usually go to graphic design and stock photography sites to get the creative juices flowing. I have been browsing through different stock photo sites gettyimages, corbis, and veer but I have never bothered thinking about there are real people behind the brilliant photos that they feature. They are, of course, the photographers.

A few weeks ago I bumped into old friends that are into digital photography. For some reason, I was compelled to ponder about the idea of me having a new hobby. And what would be a better hobby than digital photography? So I started by browsing for online lessons, and digital SLRs of course. I also found out that there are sites that offer amateur photographers the opportunity to enhance their photo-shooting skills and earn at the same time. Isn't it exciting?

I already have a digital camera, its not SLR, but it will do for a start. I'm just thrilled by the idea that i have a new hobby! Will post pics soon!

Welcome Aboard

After four years of hibernating from daily blogging, here I am once again typing away on my brand new blog. Welcome to iCREATE+iDEAS. From now on, I would be blogging about my usual raves and reviews on stuff that matter to me, as a digital artist, as a neophyte in pro-blogging, as a photographer wannabe, and as a working mom.

Sometimes I would probably blog about the latest happenings in my career and family life, my feats in weight loss management, and some positive reflections on spirituality, love and wealth creation. I will do my best not to rant because I am turning into a new leaf. Less rants equals less negative happenings in life. More gratitude equals more blessings.

So I hope you will enjoy hanging around, as I would very much enjoy your every visit.
